While one's life is a product of a huge number of events/decisions, for most people, there are a small number of events/decisions that have far reaching impacts on their trajectory.
Some common things that often have a significant impact on one's trajectory (vs the replacement level decision/event) include:
- moving to a new city/country
- getting hired for a new job
- who you marry
- what to study in college/where you attend
Sometimes, far more narrow and specific things can change a persons life like deciding to travel somewhere, taking up a new sport, starting a blog etc.
