If you are holding $GME or $AMC and have 15 minutes to speak with me, I am looking to interview anyone interested in expanding this movement from a "single stock" approach, to a full blown meta game. Let me know the best way to get in touch.
A $100m Hedge Fund for the People – Interview Requests
1–10 of 11 posts
After 3.5 years of research and engineering (YCW18), my team and I are about to launch a $100m hedge fund that gives away nearly all of its profits to people who contribute data towards improving its strategy.

#2Curious, who's investing the $100M?
By profits, I assume you mean the fund's management fees, not capital gains on its investments, right?

#3I am not holding it rn but I am making an account to buy few. I am curious to learn more about you and what you are trying to do.

#4This sounds like a terrible idea - starting a hedge fund based on the greater fool theory...

Yeah, I'm also curious about the benefits. What is the benefit if there are low fee ETF/fund options out there?

#6curious to hear OP's thoughts on Numerai? I'm a fan of their model, and am curious how OP's is different

#7Also curious. Quantopian tried this, arguably with a profit motive, but did release some of the best Python engineering I’ve ever seen (Zipline). Definitions are important here: the “hedge” in hedge fund generally means returns uncorrelated with the broader market. OP could mean anything in this context.

#8I'm holding and curious.

#9$100MM on memes? I wouldn't give you my strategy but my returns are easily 100% per and higher. It's not meme stocks, but my data came up for GME a few days ago at $57 and then again today to buy shares. I don't like the signal at all but have to follow the system so it can learn or teach me.

#10Will the fund be using the same tactics other hedge funds use to manipulate prices like short ladders?
If you discover a struggling company will you be a catalyst for its demise by shorting the stock?
If the fund is for the people, will it be 100% transparent in its actions? Like sharing its holdings/positions more than regulations require.
Edit to add 3rd question.
