Twitter botfarm scamming users out of crypto

This has been going on for about 12 hours now and for the past week. I don't think it will stop unless someone at twitter actually shuts it down. Just posting this here in the hope Twitter does something about to or maybe this will get attention.

Given all of the controversy about bots influencing the 2016 election you would think Twitter would have put better controls over such blatant spam

Couldn't they just use a VPN or even tor browser to hide their IP and make more accounts? It feels like no matter how many twitter shut down there will always be someone else taking the place. There are over 330 million active monthly users.

I bought some ripple back in 2017 and since then I haven't been able to get rid of it. Stuck on the ripple app which is out of date on my computer.
