I noticed I was being throttled to extremely reduced speeds. Using several different speed tests i get one speed (10% advertised speed), then i run the bell fibe in modem speed test and while the in modem speed test is running I get my full bandwidth (on every different speed test service). In fact sometimes when I run the in-modem speed test I get even faster than advertised speeds (on third party speed test services) but only while the in-modem speed test is running and in the moments after. After a certain delay, my speeds drop back down at which point i can again boost them by initiating an in-modem speed test.
Is there a secret to getting an unthrottled connection with Bell Fibe? This is a FTTH connection. Has anyone made a script that monitors bandwidth and continually triggers the in-modem speed test when below a certain speed threshold to automate the process?
