WHAT TO EXPECT:
As a Data Engineer you will enhance our data platform and create a curated data model for different teams to leverage. Since data integrity is vitally important to our growth, we’re looking for someone with a background in big data systems to help us scale while maintaining correct and complete data. You’ll be working with engineers and analysts to help them solve their data needs. Your work will give teams visibility into how Breather’s product is being used and where we can improve to serve our user’s needs better.
IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL:
* Architect, build and maintain scalable ETL processes
* Assess our tracking infrastructure for current and potential data quality issues and provide solutions
* Help transition our ETL processes from batch processing to real-time streaming
* Help drive optimization, testing and tooling to improve data quality
* Provide solutions and ideas to business partners to solve complex data modeling and other analytic problems
VALUABLE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
* BS/MS in the field of Computer Science Mathematics, Statistics/Analytics, or other relevant fields
* 2+ years of Python experience preferred
* 2+ years of experience in building/maintaining ETL processes from end-to-end
* Experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL, MySql or NoSQL
* Extensive knowledge of data modeling, data access, and data storage techniques
* Strong understanding of different storage architectures and their appropriate application
