That’s from the old lore and I’m surprised so many have forgotten it. I learned that back when we had to buy upgrades on physical media, .0 is .no.

True. And if it's from SAGE Software, .1 is .nope. They never release a .0, because they thínk that'll trick customers into using it instead of waiting for patches. I've had so many customers tell me they won't upgrade a SAGE product to a .1 release because "I'm not paying to be their beta tester.".

They had an SQL driver bug where, if you turned on record-level security, running a query with one set of credentials, then another query with different credentials without first unloading the driver, you'd get access to things you shouldn't. And their response was "won't fix".

The worst thing is Safari removing all tabs button. Quick way is to pinch out with two fingers but that is impossible one-handed. Another is to swipe up (or left/right) on address bar but that often triggers app switching because he indicator is 3mm lower

It’s still there, just moved. Tap the … icon next to the address bar. “All tabs” will be under your thumb.

And why would I need to do two things instead of one previously.

If you really want to use such a thing, switch to Ice. It’s an open source thing similar to Bartender, before BT was bought by a shifty outfit. It still requires those permissions, but at least you can look at the code. I have a paid Bartender license. I liked it enough to pay for it, but don’t like the road it went down and stopped using it. Tahoe lets you selectively remove app icons from the menu bar. I’m going to…

That's not Launchpad; it's inferior in many ways.

Could you elaborate on the ways in which it is inferior? I haven't found any yet, and I'd like to get the most out of my Mac.

I upgraded a couple days ago, and so far so good. It seems to work fine for my purposes at least. My assigned keyboard shortcut continues to work, even.

That's not possible. I saw a video yesterday where Greg Joswiak (SVP worldwide marketing at Apple) assured me that Apple has the best design team in the world.

Then maybe they should let them do the design of the interface, for it is obvious that whatever team they've currently got working on it, design is clearly not their forté.

I am not entirely sure what made Apple to take on this way. Really doesn't make any sense to anyone. Seqouia was fine and no one was asking for a new UI. People wanted to see more featured on the operating system. Meaningfull changes that can make difference in their lives. Apple seems totally out of ideas at this point and now.

What makes me worried is how much money that they probably spending su supress youtube content creators and the press. Everyone is talking about how Tahoe is good like they are given some sort of script. I have seen a youtuber that talking about the features while the visual glitches are right there in front of him and he was desparetly struggling to not take attention to there.

I'm not sure what you mean by an unmodified F4, as I have a spotlight key that turns into F4 with a modifier.

The spotlight apps view is available for binding a keyboard shortcut directly. Maybe yours became bound to the spotlight shortcut?
