My favorite part of macOS 27 is they finally made corner rounding consistent across windows. It had been getting worse for years until last year when Tahoe bizarrely added a bunch of SUPER rounded windows in native system apps. Which I figured were so ugly and inconsistent that it must have been an oversight. Only to find in their documentation that they actually intended for corner radii to be inconsistent across different applications, and only ones with certain toolbars would be extra rounded?

Just insane the shit they pulled last year that I'd say straight up defaced years of great designs. Golden Gate has reverted a lot of things though it's still not as good as it used to be in a lot of areas. Step in the right direction anyway.

It's not year+1, it's the year that most overlaps with that OS being the latest. 27 will be the latest OS for ~9 months of 2027 and only ~3 of 2026.

I also don't know why this would be considered more confusing for chronology. The year is in the name, whereas it was previously at best, years since version 1, or something more confusing in the case of macOS. I couldn't keep track of all the latest OS versions before, now we will be able to going forward.

They do yearly major releases in September for all their OSes. They are directly tied to the year.

I think a bunch of the reversions to the accumulated bullshit of the past number of years happening directly following the sudden departure of Alan Dye and his cronies is not a coincidence.

Ah, doh! I just tested it and it worked. Siri clearly can answer the question, now it seems more like a speech to text issue. I wonder if everything is using the new models or if stt is still using the old ones?
