Agree. Remember that once you have kids you are stuck in that situation forever. There is a lot of coping and trying to persuade yourself that this is the best thing in the world. It might as well be as there is no escape anyways!

That can be said about any decision. You can't go back in time. So every decision is permanent.

I understand that kids carry a long responsibility above just memories though.
