My least favorite part is how the parental controls are locked into iMessage. There's no way to manage parental controls from anything other than another iDevice. I suppose this is a sales strategy for them - parent must buy an iDevice as well.

Can't stand the UI. I've turned off transparency. I've zoomed in a bit. I heavily use the swipe down search on the Home Screen and it's obnoxious now. I don't understand why Apple went towards unifying the UI around a failed product (Vision Pro).

I guess they didn’t know the Vision Pro would fail when they made the switch. Now, they’ve made the second ugliest iOS ever. So, they are on a recovering trend, but of course they’ve got pretty far to go.

Sequoia is still supported and very solid right now. I'll probably skip Tahoe and update around 27.5.

Not just operating systems. Try the following on the IMDB app or website. Search 'True', you'll get True Detective and True Blood show up as the top results. That seems to work well. But then if you add a space making it 'True ', 'Bill Hader' is the top result!

To be fair "Bill Hader" should be the top result no matter what you type.

Interesting. Because I have a much harder time typing on my Pixel. In fact, I hate it. I wish I had a blackberry. When I use iOS devices, it feels better but I don't use them enough to have used them in anger. Ok, well, yes they have made me angry but for other reasons than the keyboard hence why I'm on Android lol.

I used a Clicks keyboard with a folded Moto Razr for a while and it was Blackberry-esque. The keyboard is a little narrow compared to the Blackberries of yore, though. I'm somewhat hopeful about the Clicks Communicator which is wider, but sadly still only a four row keyboard.

To be clear, I only kind of recommend the keyboard. I stopped using mine after a while because of how awkward it was with the Razr unfolded and never actually found it faster or more accurate than the on screen keyboard.

There are over 200 security patches in the newest versions of macOS. AI is helping patch previously unrealized holes.

If Apple wanted to make the OS more secure, they would make the OS more modular, allowing users to reduce the surface risk by not installing bloated components

So many platforms with search have a variation of this problem now.

The other issue with Mac search is that it never tells you when it’s done, so you can’t tell if it searched and failed to find something or is still searching.
