I used it quite a bit over the weekend to reacquaint myself with my small music studio, which I had ignored over the past few years. It told me all sorts of accurate information about my microphones, hardware, etc, including helping me with some connection problems having to do with buggy signal flow.
I use a rubber duck for that, it has all kinds of interesting stuff to say on the subject. Someone should stick a tts-and-stt converter in a rubber duck and interface it to ChatGPT, I bet it would sell like hotcakes.

#72This is due to rumored hacks/leaks: https://www.reddit.com/r/ChatGPT/comments/11wkw5z/has_chatgp... We really need an open source alternative instead of putting all our faith in one for-profit company.
I hear two things requested a lot - an open source ChatGPT and more controls on the training/data/usage/etc. How can these two things be held in balance? If it is open source entirely, can't I use the training data and tool in any way I want? What guardrails prevent me from using it to generate hate speech? Given the compute power needed to train/run it; where are people going to do that in any accessible way that do…
Honestly, who gives a shit? Humans can do this already.

Open models on Hugging face are about 2-3 years behind OpenAIs. I think it's reasonable to expect open models to be on par with ChatGPT 4 in ~5 years, if it doesn't conquer the world first.

Like every other technological advancement in history, people who adopt it will benefit, while those who stick their head in the sand and cry "this is bad", "this will put people out of a job" etc. will get left behind.
Except now Microsoft is sitting between you and the technology. Basing your future on that is quite a bet.

Can you provide a source confirming that's the cause of the outage? The timing is suspicious and I suspected it's related, but I wouldn't claim it's the sole cause without confirmation.
I believe if you check the activity history, you will see a massive spike of request coming from China around the time the service went down. Doubt we will have anything official though. Cyberwars are often fought in the shadow.

#79The #HustleGPT movement[1] has been using ChatGPT as the CEO of their ~$100 budget startups. (I am also doing the challenge). Wonder about new risks of company data being leaked from companies who are 100% ChatGPT-based and built totally in the open. (shameless, https://pitcharchitect.app / https://twitter.com/PitchArchitect is my 'hustle') and yes I know the title cuts off on mobile :( will fix shortly) [1] https://…
To be clear, this is basically a joke right? Like, I get people are genuinely curious about what the results will be (as am I), but surely no one believes this is actually the most effective way to invest $100?
Yeah and super curious how the various efforts will go-are some people way better at prompt-writing and also raw skills and they will pull ahead and build something useful? Or is it so good that nearly anyone can follow its directions and make a functioning small business? Will be interesting to find out.
