Which, from a spectator experience point of view would be more interesting anyway. As you could create tracks with intersections, allow aggressive driving etc. And, looking at you F1, know immediately when a car did leave the allowed bounds. Instead of hours after the race.

Because this is an electric car and just a few years ago, this was thought to be impossible. The engineering behind achieve this is impressive.

Top Fuel dragsters[1] have been doing that for a while, but it’s still an impressive achievement indeed. [1]: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Top_Fuel

Tom mentioned these — their engines have very short life span, and need overhaul after every use.

The electric motors can accelerate over and over again, and the whole car is smaller than a dragster engine.

A few of the current F1 drivers already have sim setups and play driving sims as well as the official F1 video game. What you're suggesting isn't too far off.

The difference being that Top Fuel Dragsters exceed 500 km/h regularly.
