Spectators could follow along with FPV drones
Then we could just simulate the race based on the cars' and track's mathematical parameters, and then CGI the whole thing in Unreal Engine, and watch it in the Metaverse. No need for actual cars or drivers anymore.

#65Because this is an electric car and just a few years ago, this was thought to be impossible. The engineering behind achieve this is impressive.
Top Fuel dragsters[1] have been doing that for a while, but it’s still an impressive achievement indeed. [1]: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Top_Fuel
The electric motors can accelerate over and over again, and the whole car is smaller than a dragster engine.

No need to waste compute, just estimate probabilities and go straight to the numbers.

Thank you for joining this F1 season, what an exciting year this was for the sport.

#67Veritasium did a video on Micromouse competition which also got the breakthrough via similar kind of technology (fan that sucks air from under the car) - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZMQbHMgK2rw Interesting watch.
And deposits grit and gravel into the windscreen of the car behind

#68They say grip is the limiting factor. What about having something like tank tracks?

Tom mentioned these — their engines have very short life span, and need overhaul after every use. The electric motors can accelerate over and over again, and the whole car is smaller than a dragster engine.
