Right now we're all training AI models on our taste. All of our chat logs are being uploaded, and the AI companies are training the models on them to get them right the first time. It will soon no longer require taste. Or at the very least be 95% of the way there on the first run.

This was the basic theory behind Tesla eventually being able to stop killing Tesla drivers with FSD. It has not worked out.

It has actually, FSD is very good and the latest iteration is end to end now for many trips.

Is taste really the one thing LLMs can't take away or do we talk about taste because judging has become the cheapest move available? I think focusing too much on taste is how we lose focus on the two questions that actually matter: what do I actually care about, and why do I make things at all.

You cannot separate "taste" from the question of "why do I make things at all?" because they are inextricably bound. The reason for your making something is where taste is expressed.
