#332I dived in the barrier reef a decade ago. Soooooo much life everywhere I looked. In a single dive you’d see so many animals you couldn’t keep track of. It was just the most amazing experience I’ve had. Like I was in another plant.
I dived recently, it wasn’t the same. It’s like I went from a 8K Oled plasma to a CRT monitor.
I’m just really sad my kids will never get the same experience.
May be we are cancer to the planet after all.

Where is the causality here? Sure, there is a correlation and sure, it may be seen as a reasonable argument, but like your point before about CO2 not being a problem, you completely overlook that there could be many causes for the same event.
How is your fact about crime rates invalidating the position "there is racism amongst police forces"? The effect of the higher crime rates _and_ racism are not mutually exclusive.
But you choose to rather adopt a point of view where every situation can apparently be 100% explained by a single cause. And that cause is that black people are not "up the standard" -- whatever standard you are talking about.

OK, I'll say it. That is a stupid statement. I've seen that "planet will be fine" line too many times. Here is the truth: the main purpose of that line is to hide the wrongdoing. The planet is not just a rock in space. It includes the environment and everything that is there. When we destroy that, we are destroying the planet itself.
It's always bothered me too, obviously when people say "we're killing the planet!" they refer to the biosphere, not the hunk of rock floating around in space.

I suspect you are correct though it would be a lot of eating/chewing. At 4,500 calories a day, I am tired of eating as it is. I looked up the PITA diet as I was unfamiliar, it recommends to eat less spicy foods which is tough as a Cajun, but then states to add more chicory which we add to our coffee. Maybe there is a balance!
By "PITA" I meant "pain in the ass" because you'll probably have to track down the special hoo-ha bean (I made that up) that can give you the extra protein you need, though you can probably get by with garbanzo beans but they make you fart, and yeah, calories will probably involve some high-calories food that you'll quickly tire of. That's what I meant by PITA.

What is really going on is that “We’re killing the planet” is a hyperbolic way to express “We are destroying the things I personally value about the planet” or perhaps “We are making the planet unsuitable for ourselves”; trying to defend it as something else is not only usually wrong on its own terms, but missing the point of what people actually mean when they say it.
