They worked hard to earn this distinction, their poineering efforts have now been well recognized by none other than the US government, in a way that few others have.

They really pushed it head & shoulders above the rest, regardless of how much alternative orgs have aspired to this type of pursuit.

It couldn't happen to a more deserving bastion of the music industry !

One can only hope they promptly receive their just rewards for everything they have done, and then some, as a shining example to others who might aspire to such a level of accomplishment.

Well, if you think about it, mass withholding of paying individual income taxes until specific political reforms are made could be an interesting way to cut the MIC, campaign corruption (finance reform), and address the lack of universal single-payer health-care (not Medicare but not quite UK NHS). We're funding horrible shit but voting for the red flavor or the blue flavor of the property party doesn't make a damn bit of difference.

Their #1 target should be credit reporting agencies, and other information brokers.

It's beyond the scope of the agency, but we need comprehensive statutory privacy protection. There's a massive industry around acquiring and selling data that's far bigger than just the credit reporting agencies. It'd be mostly a waste of time trying to approach it piecemeal.
