I just switched to Edge and it looks great. One of the reasons I had used Chrome and had recommended all my customers to use Chrome was the ability to print to PDF, which Firefox did not have (not sure if it does now). Edge does and will be recommending all my clients to try out Egde.

I really recommend switching to a password manager - it's also easier to access the passwords from other devices. For example I can use the same passwords on Firefox desktop and on Safari - iPhone (including auto-fill on iOS 12). I have good experience with 1Password (subscription paid).
I was thinking to just have Firefox on my phone as well. Is 1Password able to provide passwords and credit card information inside other apps?

Worked for me. Switched to FF because I just can't trust Chrome anymore. FF feels like a breath of fresh air.
How is the speed now of FF compared to Chrome? A few years ago I switched to Chrome because it was way faster. Has FF improved?
I think we are looking at the public face of something significant to have happened in Google search (and AI) and this attempt to start plugging all the gaps in our browsing habits is so that Google have as good as 95-100% understanding of human habits.

You could always use a cleaned Google-free Android derivative OS like Replicant. See also the Librem 5 phone, which does not run Android at all.
Librem isn’t using an Android derivative OS, it’s going to effectively be a Gnome Linux distro on mobile.

There’s a difference between coming up with the requirement and the “order”, and implementing it because that’s your job. And don’t say they should quit. This isn’t the solution. At some point they will find an engineer to do it anyway. The solution should be applied at the source.

Dropping chrome is not enough. Switch to bing (Just as good as G), or ddg if you really want. Then ditch android which is the spy in your pocket. If you're installing G analytics for clients then choose an alternative (I'm open to suggestions here). It's really time to disentangle ourselves from google. They've quietly and effectively insinuated themselves across the web. Enough is enough.
Bing is nowhere near "(Just as good as G)". If it was, a lot more people would have already switched. As of now, it's surprisingly behind Google in almost all but the most basic searches.
