This isn’t how deep learning works. You can’t just “adjust weights” for some random user/product. I feel like even otherwise intelligent people these days think these chatbots are Westworld-like programmable AIs and not pieces of shit that barely run or work. There is no tech monolith that’s getting advanced and gaining new capabilities. There are some very smart people who have switched from building ad recommenders…

You don't need to adjust the weights. Just have it query a vector database of current ad campaigns to find a PROMPT.md to inject when the context is relevant. e.g. user is talking about camping -> lookup ad campaign documents relevant to camping (e.g. with embeddings) -> inject prompt about the campaign. This is all basically obvious if you've been using SKILL.md for agents at work.

Wow, that website is impressively cpu-intensive. Like, I'm on a beefy desktop processor (linux + firefox if it matters), and it's chewing through over 100% cpu and not keeping up. Just having the tab open causes my CPU fans to spin up to max. The real million dollar homepage at least performs well.

No such issue on my Macbook in either Firefox or Chrome.

Or users will realize that a trashy ads experience is bad and switch to a service that isn't trashy. I don't understand why there's so much fearmongering about ads when heavy competition + zero switching costs will effectively guarantee good UX.

Zero switching costs? Maybe the way I use AI, where I don’t really need it to know about me and I just ask it knowledge questions. A lot of people seem to be trying to make it a friend who knows everything about them.
