We could. But then we throw away the basis on how we treat European, Australian, Japanese, American, etc. patents. You either respect patents or you don't. There is no middle ground.
Why would we change the way we respect those? None of those nations engage in the same uncompetitive practices that the Chinese do with respect to patents and IP.

What makes you believe Huawei is the only company that will ever be able to build 6G hardware for the entire remaining lifetime of the universe?
Huawei and other Chinese companies laid huge patent minefields around pretty much every modern high-speed radio technology.
If you ever worked in 5G/6G/Wifi/etc. standardization you will quickly see one thing: they know their job.
So even if you rip out all Chinese hardware - you will still have to pay money to them if you replace it with local stuff from Nokia/Ericson/etc.

You don't need a crazy fast connection for most of this automation stuff, because it has to be able to operate offline successfully to start with. Any dark factory should be running on its own wireless network anyway, not some cellular network. Who would do that? Even for a local wireless network, why would a Huawei router be any better? Scale. Huawei has 1.4 billion customers just in China. They have double this around the world. The US and European markets have become small for the scale of next generations telecom.

It is exactly the same in every EU country. Foreigners get registered or must register in person.
Wrong. People that live here (in the EU) need to register. I can stay with friends abroad for some time without having to tell the government, as long as I don't take up residency.
I am talking about non-EU citizens who enter some of EU countries. No matter if they stay at the hotel or privately at relatives or friends they will be registered or must register at the police.
