Out of curiosity, why do you think that's a problem for boys, in particular?
can't answer for GP but most likely because he is male himself and so speaking to what he knows. Your question sounds like you are baiting, like you are pretending to be so naive that you are not aware that men and women face different expectations and circumstances growing up, and moreso there is something wrong with expressing concern for boys without also including girls. Maybe, hopefully, I'm reading you wrong.
I think there are a lot of challenges faced by boys that are worthy of attention and resourcing. Some of them may be biological some may be socially constructed. To an extent, it doesn't matter the causes, because the issues still exist.
FWIW, I consciously tried to phrase my question as not some kind of set up for a dunk. As much as you might think people are sometimes woke baiting, for lack of a better term, the counterreaction is just as much of a minefield.
