Data doesn't go to pocket until you start using it, and even then, you have to click through a few pages to get there. Pages which make it abundantly obvious that its a third party service. I'm really not convinced by this as an argument. People might like all sorts of harmful things, once they see them. And the fact that people might want something that provides the functionality that Pocket provides, or something like it, doesn't mean that using Pocket specifically is a good idea.
