#6Internet needs more home pages like this. Fast to load, fast to read. There's contact information and couple links to get some more information.
EDIT: at least I prefer pages like this over say LinkedIn profile.

No, this is the way to do it. Haven't you seen a CS / engineering professor's page? Those with knowledge don't need to be flashy, that's for salesmen.

If you're talking solely about its looks and contents, then I won't argue. But if you look at the HTML behind it... it's pretty bad: the internet doesn't need more pages this poorly written. :P Try and validate it: https://validator.w3.org/check?uri=http%3A%2F%2Fericschmidt....
Half as many errors as there are lines of HTML, and that's HTML 4 transitional.
Oh well, it doesn't matter too much, but I'm a web developer so I still have to care to a degree. ;)
