Which is a terrible thing, because those things are so bad for you.
Sure living off of nothing but instant ramen isn't great, but neither is living off of nothing but broccoli.

Zen was ASP.NET MVC, SQL Server, and a big mess of jQuery. TaskTorch is React, Node, and RethinkDB.

If there's an item of American culture you may be missing, it's probably that American restaurants can be very cheap.
In particular, a McDonald's is considered a restaurant in the US, and there are restaurants that are lower-key and cheaper than McDonald's. Of course, high-end restaurant also do exist.

Well, if it looks like a duck ;-)... (Born and raised in Columbus here).
Weather seems like a commonly-stated reason for leaving Ohio. I'm from here, so I obviously take note of it, but I do wonder if people commonly talk about leaving places like Boston and NYC for warmer climates. Those areas seem to have equally miserable winter weather.

American here. Nobody I know would ever call McDonald's a "restaurant."
