I've been reading occasional articles about latin america's imminent rise for about a decade. Still hasn't happened. I think the reporters are either completely innumerate or pushing an agenda. And heck if it's a slow news day you've still got to write /something/.

There are spots of brightness in Latin America for example Embraer in Brazil, one of the top airplane manufactures which is a very difficult industry.
