This doesn't install the whole theme though (at least for me), just changes the colour scheme. To that, you'll need to install the theme by following the instructions on the Afterglow github page.

Note: if you do replace it, you probably will need to kill your dock, and clear the icon cache; here's a good command to do so:
rm /var/folders///*/com.apple.dock.iconcache;killall Dock
