The whois is from someone who registered it in 1995, so I would say no.

Has dropbox ever had the dropbox.com adress? AFAIK they have always used getdropbox.com

It's a shame that Google gets the A record, since it now gets ~40k UVs from getdropbox.com misdirects...

Wasn't dropbox.com run by a Canadian University or a Canadian student? I seem to recall searching for dropbox and ended up at the non 'get' one and it was a website of something different.

They are using godaddy nameservers so something must be off there.
