Make sure you abide by the forum rules. If the rules bar solicitation then you shouldn't be directing your customer to said forum (with the intent of advertising/soliciting).

The main problem I see is the service ultimately degenerating into a conduit for spammy and low-quality forum comments. Are your customers going to hand-craft a meaningful response to each forum lead, for dozens or hundreds of potential customers a day? Doubtful. More likely they'll copy and paste the same spammy message over and over again.

Your product is incomplete. It's not enough to find potential customers. What businesses really need is a way to engage customers and separate themselves from the advertising noise that fills people's lives.

By posting on a forum, I'm looking for unbiased advice from people who have actually used a company's services, not a sales pitch. If it resulted in being stalked by people trying to sell me something, I'd find it to be creepy and invasive.

I would agree with that. A feature we're working on adding is conversation tracking, which would let you monitor conversations even after you've posted your "copy-paste" business pitch. That way, you can continue the conversation more than a flat advertisement would. Also, I would imagine most large companies would have social media employees that intricately manage the company's online presence. This would add to their arsenal.
