Its not difficult to find his email address. Even if you can't take the project over, I'd imagine dropping the guy a note to wish him the best would do a lot of good.

I'm going to quit using WordPress on a shared VM, it's been 6 years since I installed WP and nothing is getting any better. Thanks for finding out the cached version. It should be available after a few retries for those want to comment on the page.

Install WP Super Cache. It should be able to handle HN's traffic even if it's running on an iPhone 3.

I don't think that's fair.

Even if it is a repost, I think a lot of people here are responding well to it. I'd hardly call this spam.
