#873I always have empty mind and half understable notes before 1-on-1s and performance review so I build a work journal that helps me get right level of details and build recaps so it's easy to look back.
It's AI work journaling chat. It's called HeyCheero! Cheero is a squirrel, mascot/personality of the companion in the app. My wife and me come up with the mascot while feeding squirrels in the park. She is working on his portraits to put on the page now. At first, I was excited about building an AI app but now I'm more looking forward to creating the mascot and it's personality, haha.

#874I've ran into so many problems trying to get a nice setup for my local development that matches similar to our production setup. I usually have completely separate docker compose setup locally, and a kubernetes setup of some kind in production.
These behave fairly similar, until I need to work on the ingress, or network policies, or anything else that is kubernetes specific.
I've finally taken the plunge into running it all locally on k3d, and have a pretty nice setup now with the manifests syncing with ArgoCD.
I'm thinking of packaging it up into a justfile and documenting it, but wondered how other people work on these sort of things. Do you just accept the shortcomings and test in staging envs for kubernetes specific changes?

I just HATE the invitation-and-coordination game. If someone invites me and I don't want to go, I hate having to come up with a socially acceptable excuse. Inviting someone and waiting for them to make a socially acceptable excuse is equally awful to me.…
Love this idea! One of the rare tech products nowadays that induce optimism. Eagerly waiting for the Android release.

#880I'm working on a workout + calorie tracker combined into in 1 app. This is a crowded market already, yet somehow all the workout/calorie tracker apps I used never fit my lifestyle. They are not integrated well or require too much tapping/thinking to track what I want to track. So the goal is to make it as seamless as possible (for me).
Right now I am making it for personal use, but thought posting about it here could let me knew whether other people had the same struggle, and whether I should consider releasing it publicly.
