I would say bettery is about the same of iOS 26, but mine is quite cooked (78% battery health) and I have to replace it. Performance is for sure better. Not as much as I expected (I expected to notice it everyday), and I can't give you a number, but I remember that I noticed stuff being faster the first couple of days that I installed the beta, but now I got used to it
I run iOS 18 and have no problems with my battery, it is at 73%. iPhone 14 Pro. Don't think I'm going to install 27 either.
I reviewed the battery test results for iOS versions 26 (26.2, 26.3, 26.4, 26.6) and 27.
The comparison covered the iPhone 14 series and newer models.
The batteries in each model retain their charge 10–15% less effectively on iOS 27.

I always assumed that was intentional to save you arriving through options. I find that behaviour quite useful as I can hit anything beginning with CHE just by typing more letters.
I don’t get it. How is it useful that typing CHE you won’t see Chess even though it was visible before you got to type the E?
Because you watch as you type. You may not find it useful, I very much do for apps with colliding names.

That isn't really how it works, unfortunately. The foundation models run on the device for access to the local graph database and to interact with local actions (intents). ...I've been seeing this search style in more and more places recently, and I hate it. Let me type my search, then hit enter, then you can go find what I asked for. Don't slow everything down by searching on every character I type.

#720Reminder to wait a couple of months before upgrading macOS! Every single time issues are found after a new macOS version, give it a little bit of time before jumping right away on your work machine :)
I finally upgraded to Tahoe a couple weeks ago after putting it off for ages. As soon as it came up, my external monitor (connected by DVI to a caldigit dock) started being flaky af. I have to reconnect 2-3 times to get it to properly detect.
