https://shopspec.io/ ShopSpec is a deterministic parametric furniture generator (bookshelves, cabinets, shop carts, leg-and-rail frames, multi-carcass composites) that encodes real woodworking intelligence and outputs shop-ready artifacts. Most recently, introduced the concept of value engineering by sweeping across dimensions to batch evaluate candidates that ranks based on sheet purchases. Also have in beta an MCP…

Hi there! I'm a woodworker and love seeing new woodworking software! Thank you for making this.

I could tell from the layout screenshots, but one thing to make sure is that you are accounting for the size of the kerf. Being able to set a different kerf size for different cuts would be ideal as your rip vs crosscut are often different blades.

Also, one of the more daunting parts of casework for me is sorting out exactly how undermount slides go. I would highlight any help your tool does with raising confidence in getting those installed. Even having an undermount installation tool separate from the spec work I think could be useful.

Have a couple things on the background burners.

https://opaque.info - a security product for creating gated policy control and auditing of LLMs

https://curbwise.org - a community crowdsourcing product geared at improving your community

https://ukodus.now - a sudoku engine (tui, wasm, ios)

https://adanima.ai - autonomous marking product

I'm working on a programming language for agents to write and humans to read. Think Lean4 but built for software engineering. It's dependently typed based on Observational Type Theory. A few key differences from Lean4: 1. Constructivist rather than propositional logic, so propositions can be true or false or unknown. 2. Compiler which targets the Linux ABI (in progress). An interpreter exists and acts as an oracle fo…

I did the opposite, had the llm write a language for the llms https://github.com/kcirtapfromspace/squid-lang

We're working on an apartment hunting agent called Fless ( https://fless.io ). Tell us what apartment you want. We filter, sort and reach out to confirm apartments actually have a unit that meets your criteria by the move-in date you're looking for. If they do, we schedule a tour for you and manage your calendar to ensure all the tours you book are nicely coordinated (with Uber rides scheduled if you need!). No more…

Seems like this works in a very limited geographic area. Why not US-wide? I did do this for a recent search. It scoured Craigslist listings, first evaluating must haves in text and looking at images for the promising listings. Crucially I wanted to first cast a wide net and fine tune my reqs as I learned what it turned up. The goal was quality over speed. I wish I could have used Zillow etc but they don't have a public API.

I'd pay for this and I'd recommend some kind of freemium approach. Interestingly I'd also like this for purchasing second hand stuff. I recently bought a TIG welder second hand. I had Claude compare various listings over the weeks to help judge price-quality. Would have been great to start a job and come back two weeks later with a top 3.

The problem is APIs and integrations.

After fully developing https://github.com/nuwainfo/ffl and https://github.com/nuwainfo/ffl-mcp, I’m now working to make ffl an agent‑first file transfer/delivery platform. But the company is running out of money, and after dealing with employees lying to get salaries, I plan to build a company that’s almost entirely remote and staffed by AI workers.

I’m using my company’s long‑term org chart and culture to shape the Grokbot team, and building mcp (like MIS/mail/kanban/ERP) for them, so that AI employees can work fully autonomously and operate independently. I really enjoy this process and this team—it’s exactly what I’ve always envisioned. Once things run smoothly, I’d like to open source them.

Right now, ffl serves as the data plane, while https://www.mailtrigger.net/doc/ works as the control plane, and the system is running very well. I hope my company can successfully transform.

Two YouTube math channels. I have a degree from 2012 before switching to software; now I’m on a path to becoming a schoolteacher as a 2nd career. Using YouTube as a way to deliberately practice teaching & refreshing skill.

“Math Can Be A Hobby”, lecture series based on Serge Lang’s Basic Mathematics. Unexpected breakout success, 350k+ views on 1st video and rising. https://youtube.com/@MathCanBeAHobby

“jcpractices math”, a livestream where I share my daily-ish study sessions, thinking out loud with iPad on screen. Emphasis on algebra and number theory. https://youtube.com/@jcpracticesmath

I’m building a circuit simulator (the dumbest and slowest version of one, I’m sure) from scratch in Go for fun, alongside relearning electrical engineering topics via clanker. The clanker helps me focus my ADHD and I’m the keyboard jockey doing the coding and architecture decisions myself. The clanker really just keeps me on track and records a log of my ideas and experiments while I plan the next steps I want to take, and acts like a technical advisor and researcher that I don’t really trust so I require link references to documentation, specs, or research articles for everything it tells me. It’s quite fun using a clanker as an ADHD assistive device without it thinking for me and I’m trying to see how little I can rely on AI before I start to become unproductive.

Working on a web-based local multiplayer party game platform called GamingCouch.com.

The idea is simple: I love local multiplayer games and game nights but felt that there was always too much hassle with switching between different titles and connecting 4-8 controllers to one PC or console. Jackbox worked great but they relied too much on language and didn't work when the group had people not fluent in english.

Therefore I decided to create a site that is dedicated to action-oriented party games. So no trivia or language based games. When I first showed the idea here on HN, other forums and game fairs, I received a lot of questions from fellow game devs asking if they could bring their own game ideas to the platform as well. I started to work on third-party development tools, which are now in private beta. The first 3rd party game has already been launched on the platform!! https://gamingcouch.com/blog/protostellar-impact-launch

I'm now looking for more game devs interested in making fun party minigames, if you're interested, check out https://gamingcouch.com/developers and hit me up either here, by mail (from my profile) or by joining the community Discord and pinging me!

The TL;DR of Gaming Couch:

- Free Early Access with +20 competitive mini-games.

- Players use their phones as controllers (gamepads work too).

- Completely web-based, no downloads or installs needed.

- Every game supports up to 8 players and is action-based, with quick ~1 minute rounds to keep a good pace. No language-based trivia or asynchronous (turn based) games

I'm working on a real-life social app called Holler ( https://justhollerapp.com ). I'm an introvert and socially anxious, but I do enjoy hanging out with my friends. I just HATE the invitation-and-coordination game. If someone invites me and I don't want to go, I hate having to come up with a socially acceptable excuse. Inviting someone and waiting for them to make a socially acceptable excuse is equally awful to me.…

Congrats - but isn't this the same as sending a message in a group chat that you're going somewhere?
