Lots of strays where I live, so I wanted an app to photograph and identify street cats and help get them adopted. Written mostly with Claude.
The recognition runs on device: Apple Vision detects the cat, DINOv2-Small decides whether it's one already in your library, SigLIP2 names the coat.
No accounts and no backend. There's a trading mechanic on top where you can trade cards via Wi-Fi (with Bluetooth as a fallback) and levels for both the user and each cat.
You can also turn any cat into a shareable adoption poster.
