#662- Making a nostalgic remake of Rainbow Six Rogue Spear - called "Tango Down"
Its low poly, Java OpenGL game but trying to stay faithful to the old gameplay
- Updating my homelab setup to be much tidier, moving stuff to Ansible, dockerising non-critical services. Running scheduled backups to a separate NAS
- Making a World in Conflict SFX mod for Warno, so it sounds much better

The Firefox one has 12 average daily users already, so that makes it my most successful side project ever haha.

#665Working with remote large data sets as if they where local.
I made the project public on May, and now as September has arrived, you can work with post production videos anywhere in the world. You can run the daemon on your own NAS and access the data on-demand from your working machines.
The same applies to data acquisition in digital forensics flows.

#666http://schoolholidays.deals/ A UK-based flight deals service aimed specifically at parents who can only travel during term-time. Having this issue myself now with two children whereby flight prices double going into school holiday season, I have always wanted some kind of service which alerts me of good deals. I still have a long way to refining the actual product, but trying to fit the development around work commit…
This is a great idea. I'd love some way to have multiple schools (which may not have exactly aligned term dates). Also - and I'm sure you've considered it - but maybe something which allows for a day or 2 at the start or end of the holiday. I've found this drastically affects prices.
Yes considering / implemented both of those, but will likely put it behind a paid service (need to pay for it somehow).

#670Financial Forecasting/Retirement Tool but you can drill down on individual assets and tweak params and see it from different angles.
I wanted to focus on something that wasn't AI and focus on the 'boring' non-technical parts that I've read so much about but never sunk my teeth into, like distribution and SEO. It's been a really fun experience.
As for the space, i.e. Financial Forecasting/Retirement Planning, put simply, financial security is important to me, I want to be able to retire on my own terms and for my family not to have to worry. I personally believe it is incredibly important to become financially literate and work towards financial stability if and when you can.
Also though there are a lot of Financial Calculators out there, I just couldn't find one that suited what I wanted, they all just seemed either too simple, didn't focus on what I wanted or purely existed to upsell me to a financial planner or Buyers Agent etc.
Haha also, the space if very crowded, in hindsight I would have picked a different space to focus on.
