Unfortunately those two examples aren't any good. I actually saw the Lenovo one, but I didn't upvote nor comment because it was just a prototype, which I'm not interested in: way too many companies hype up prototypes and never actually release to market, so I've stopped caring about them. Also, it mentioned Intel, and I'm not interested in Intel, so that's another turnoff.

As for Brax, firstly I've never even heard of them, so starting the headline with "Brax 2026 Roadmap" doesn't make it sound interesting at all. Then there's the "pocket AI phone", which was an immediate turn off for obvious reasons. Finally, the link was to a YouTube video, which is another huge turnoff. Ain't nobody got time to watch videos these days, just link to the frikin news article so I can quickly skim thru it and read what it's all about at my own pace.

This due to two factors:

1. Bot submitting content. Most of it already automatically blocked. Turn on show dead in your options and then go to the new page.

2. Young, like really young, people wanting to participate but already are fully reliant on LLM with no experience writing software without LLMs to do 90% of the heavy lifting.

Yeah you're right. There has been an erosion in domain expertise there. > The accounting profession is facing a severe crisis due to a shortage of accountants. https://www.cpajournal.com/2023/12/01/the-accounting-profess...

I don't think this is in any way a disagreement between us. In just the same way that spreadsheet software did not kill demand for accountants, I do not believe AI will kill the demand for other professionals.

Why did you scare quote addicted then? Made it sound like you were implying that spreadsheets did not erode workforce skill

It was quoting a word from this sentence in your comment:

> An entire generation of potential competition is getting addicted to the subsidized corporate tooling.

I think that using LLMs as tools for work is just like accountants using spreadsheets. If you want to describe both things with the word "addicted", then fair enough. But in my view, in both cases it is just people using a technology that is useful for their work.
