Feel free to fork this then! https://github.com/leiDnedyA/hn-without-ai It uses an LLM to categorize posts as ai or not, so you can just use a different prompt to filter out whatever you don't want (e.g "Respond with only true or false. true if the following post content is primarily political and false otherwise)

I mean, that post /is/ entirely about AI. The "I love AI" posts are just as bad as the "I hate AI" posts, and the same "this is my opinion on AI" posts are as bad as the onslaught of poorly-AI-vibed demo posts. Makes sense to filter them all out IMO.

Sure, filter whatever fits your taste. But it's not slop, so "unslop.news" may not be the perfect name.

Can someone make a site to filter HN posts about apps that remove AI in HN?

this is about the 4th post I've seen today that's some variation of hacker news without AI. Maybe we need a site to aggregate these together, hn but only the hn without AI posts.

The majority of links about "AI" are not really interesting. "New model released, people who want to avoid thinking can now avoid 7% more thinking according to NoThink benchmark". The top comment: "look at the SVG of a pelican they overfit the model on this time".

If only we could put all new stories into a single feed and have some sort of mechanism to determine what the community considers interesting.

This "community" is clearly not a monolith.
