#943I thought this was a joke at first. I do not understand the demand for such a device at all. It's not pretty, it doesn't look very functional. The selling point is "a bigger screen", but never once in my life have I looked at my phone and thought "Make it bigger."

#944I think the Duo looks great. And from the few hands on video I have seen I think the Apple presentation actually doesn't do it justice. There is no crease at all! [1] On the note on this year's keynote. I can't be the only one who feels the whole vibe of the keynote changed. This isn't Tim Cook style keynote and John Ternus wasted no time to try and changed a few things already. I can't wait for John to further shake…

To each their own. Personally, I find it horrendous. It’s by far the ugliest iPhone i’ve seen, possibly the ugliest Apple device ever. But then again, paraphrasing The Dude¹ “that’s just like, uh, my opinion, man”. The last time I liked an iPhone (I still use them) was the original SE. I loathe the camera bump; I’d gladly take a worse camera (and cheaper phone) to not have that.

#945Can I buy half of one? The size and aspect ratio of the outer display sounds like it'd be pretty close to my ideal phone.
Maybe that means I want one on a technicality. I suppose the big fold out screen would be useful at time if the device isn't too chunky...

Well when you put it that way, it doesn't sound so bad (somewhat tongue in cheek). In all honesty though, when you look at usage patterns, paying $2000 for something that many people use 5+ hours a day, it almost seems cheap.

I have bought a new iPhone every time they made the screen bigger. That’s pretty much my main reason for upgrading.

To me it serves two needs really well:
- A phone that fits in the hand for those who have long desired a smaller iPhone. This isn't me, but I know a lot of people who bemoaned the death of the smaller line of iPhones and many have held onto their old phones longer than they otherwise would have (not a bad thing, just a data point...) - A versatile device that allows switching of modes as required. Great for commutes, travel, etc.
It's not for everyone and I'm normally a Pro Max user so definitely don't fit into the first category, but I'm really tempted on this one
