InjOffice is a set of browser and server libraries for editing office artifacts. It adds plain-JSON models, pure transformation engines, provider-neutral agent change sets, optional editor integrations, and surgical OOXML patching. A hosted InjOffice service is not required: consumers can use the browser-local WASM engine, run offline, inject their own backend, or opt into the in-repo injoffice-server.
The repository is a monorepo with independently consumable TypeScript packages, private apps, and Go modules. The TypeScript packages target Node.js 22 or newer and modern bundlers. UI integrations use React and, where noted, Univer OSS as an optional editor shell. Univer is not the file authority. Native paint compilers are a preview mode.
I have high technical proficiency and comprehension skills, but even when I read that I am left confused about what I'm getting and why it is better than Google Docs or Office.
What's the pitch?
I am taking an alternative approach and utilizing v3 onion services for networking.
Websockets over tor prove to be very snappy for real time collaboration, and I really enjoy the simplicity of deployment from a simple bash script for new mailbox/nodes.
My take is very simplistic for docs and sheets. For example, I'm typically not creating charts for myself but find calculations and basic formatting really useful.
How will you differentiate from a platform like that one?
