According to https://neo6502.com/ the SOC has a 6.25 Mhz CPU and 64k of RAM. What's the utility of this in the modern world?

#13> Neo6502 [...] consist of real W65C02S processor and RP2040 which emulates RAM memory, video, keyboard, SPI, I2C, UART, GPIOs, Sound (via https://github.com/OLIMEX/Neo6502 ) 6502 is fun but coupling it to a RP2040 takes most of that fun away again, imho. Why not have the RP2040 emulate the 6502 too?

#14Hopefully somebody decides to distribute it in the states. The 1kEU minimum buy makes it not interesting for hobby kit.

Just wanna say, adding the RP2040 to 8-bit systems increases the fun, yo ..
I'm pretty sure Neo6502 is going to get LOCI emulation mode for booting with the Oric Atmos ROM sooner or later .. that is going to be very interesting, from the perspective of next-generation Oric development ..

We Oric-1/Atmos users have been enjoying the heck out of wiring up an RP2040 to our systems .. it makes an excellent peripheral controller .. adds USB mice, keyboard, mice, etc. to 40 year old systems. I can see it being fun if it's truly a peripheral to an otherwise fully-functional system
