French Guyana is occupied territory. That's pretty clear. And so it should be deoccupied and the locals will decide whether to use their land as "sovereign' launch port by Europeans.

Read up on game theory. This was just tit for tat. At that time Russia openly contemplated invading EU countries.

The population rejected more autonomy with a large majority (>70 %) in the last referundum.

Well, Musk will not be belling any cat, he hasn't even been to space himself. This makes me think he's really just performing an act for investors.

ITAR and EAR were built to keep U.S. military and dual-use technology from strengthening countries that could use it against the United States or its allies, like Europe
