> Designs that distribute props across the leading endge, or right on the leading edge of the rudder, are exciting From a purely aesthetic point of view, pusher props are way cooler. If the wings are far back and the plane has canards, even cooler.

Tractor props have the benefit of creating an airstream over the wings which lets you generate lift at lower speeds - this is why leading-edge props are so interesting. Pushers can’t use that bonus feature of the airstream.

I know, but pushers look so much cooler…

Think of the Piagio Avanti, the various Rutan designs, or the Velocity planes. IIRC, they also allow quieter cabins.

That's nothing. I was crossing Himalaya's by crawling at even slower speed. Dayuuum, ... you're smart.

I am, but it doesn’t take a genius to know that 125 miles as the crow flies is “less than 2 hours of driving” between like 6 specific pairs of destinations in the whole world.

if VCs didn't care about making their money back, but instead had very different interests, then somewhat

You don't think China (as a whole and as the government) is making it's money back? If not now, then in a few years

They're really not, the tiniest bits have shown with evergreen for ex, all the ghost cities. We don't really see the people who's savings, which with kids is the only "pension", have been demolished, on an individual level Chinese tend to save way more than others, this is gone. There's the demographic issue on top, the famines, that they import 70% of their food, depend on trade which the americans are withdrawing for protecting the routes of, and other unadressed issues because the priority is this investment, the missing population, the utter lack of statistics, even internally. Most likely the biggest factor will be wether they try something in Taiwan next year as they warned.
