#4The README is now full of ads, lots of nonsense on the page just to reach the text and on top of that, it is now written by Claude.
So right now Lazygit has become by definition slop. [0]

#9Haven't seen this in a while and had a look at the lazygit repository on GitHub and the README is just quite literally unreadable since I last looked at it. The README is now full of ads, lots of nonsense on the page just to reach the text and on top of that, it is now written by Claude. So right now Lazygit has become by definition slop. I don't know about anybody else, but IMO it's far superior to ask for donations after delivering value rather than before. That way maybe someone who likes the content can donate once satisfied, rather than deciding "no" in advance.
