I've created a small page to help you navigate this thread better, because the sites linked above weren't categorizing the jobs well enough:

https://hnhiring.stavros.io

For example, my page lets you search for "remote - unrestricted" to get jobs that allow remote everywhere.

Senior Python Backend Engineer | REMOTE (EMEA/APAC)

We're looking for Python backend engineers to work on a trustless supercluster of performance-proofed GPU-enabled sandboxed docker container runners controlled by truly decentralized algorithms (not just PAXOS or RAFT).

Wow, that was a mouthful...

If you found it interesting, join Reef Technologies and tackle complex technical challenges like this on your own terms:

- Contribute from wherever you like; we are fully remote

- Set your own time commitment, as long as it's at least 30h per week

- See how we work in our handbook: github.com/reef-technologies/handbook

- Influence the way we operate through our Sociocracy 3.0 decision-making process

Salary on a B2B contract:

- 45-70 USD or 180-280 PLN per hour

- Flexible work schedule (as measured with a time tracker)

- We automatically adjust rates based on inflation twice a year

We're looking for someone with 5+ years of programming experience, including at least a year with Python (including open-source and significant personal projects).

So, what do you think? You don't even need a CV; just go to https://careers.reef.pl/?utm_source=hackernews and shoot a few quick commands to apply.

Edit: If you applied and haven't heard back, please check the spam folder of the email associated with the GitHub account you used to apply — our replies sometimes end up there.

Earlier quoted context omitted.

Hi, I applied for the junior role two months ago. I never heard anything back, but I'm also somewhat concerned my email got lost entirely because I sent emails from two separate addresses - one got an immediate automated response, the other got nothing. (The second email that received a response was just a generic inquiry checking on the first, so I'm concerned that one got tossed by the automated system as well). I'…

Same here, I sent an application a month ago I believe.

Same, applied multiple times since 2025, they always post the same ads.

"What will you do in your first week?"

-> what do companies actually expect an applicant to answer here?

These kind of questions make no sense to me in an online application.

Axmed | AI Engineer | REMOTE (preferred Spain, UK, Poland, Romania) | Full-time | apply: axmed.teamtailor.com/jobs/8175859-ai-engineer

Axmed runs a live B2B marketplace connecting healthcare providers in low- and middle-income countries with pharmaceutical suppliers, working to make sure geography and income never stand between someone and the medicine they need. Backed by the Gates Foundation and Founderful. We're past proving it works and into scaling it — this role is what takes us there.

You'll design and ship autonomous agents that run real steps of the marketplace (sourcing, quoting, order matching, supplier follow-up) on real transactions and real money, with a human in the loop where risk demands it. Full lifecycle ownership: you decide the approach, build it, ship it, watch it, fix it.

Stack: Python, your choice of orchestration framework (LangChain/LangGraph/LlamaIndex/CrewAI), LLM APIs, cloud infra, CI/CD.

We are a fully remote, global team of 55. No visa sponsorship/relocation.

Robotics and AI Institute | Software Engineering Intern | ONSITE (Zürich, Switzerland) | Internship | No visa sponsorship

We're hiring some robotics systems software focused interns in our Zürich office. We're specifically looking for late stage masters students with strong software engineering fundamentals and some skills in turning math into performant code. We have two tracks available, either offline training infrastructure for RL (physics simulation, gaussian splatting, RL algo implementation) or on-robot deployment (online inference, fast C++).

The software team in Zürich is involved in building the tools that accelerate research, while having a close connection to what the researchers are doing.

We're looking for people who already have the right to work in Switzerland. That means Swiss/EU/EFTA citizens, or those with a work permit in Switzerland already.
