Platform / SRE / Cloud Engineer with 7+ years of experience building, operating, and improving production infrastructure.

I’ve owned production platforms across AWS and GCP, working across Kubernetes/GKE, infrastructure-as-code, CI/CD, observability, networking, security, disaster recovery, migrations, and on-call.

Technologies: AWS, GCP, Kubernetes/GKE, Terraform, Pulumi, Docker, Go, Python, Jenkins, ArgoCD, Helm, Linux, PostgreSQL, and soo many more related tech that goes alongside this.

I’ve worked on problems spanning reliability, infrastructure automation, developer platforms, DevEx, cost optimization, production operations, capacity/scaling, migrations, and incident response. I enjoy the messy problems where there isn’t an obvious solution and where getting the system right requires understanding both the infrastructure and the people using it.

Outside of work, I’m building and operating my own SaaS (RoleReady.me) as a long-term side project. I’m also a heavy user of agentic AI tooling, which I’ve been using to significantly expand how quickly I can build, automate, investigate, and ship.

Looking for a strong Platform / SRE / Cloud / Infrastructure role where I can own systems end-to-end, work close to the engineering organization, and tackle difficult production problems. Open to both IC and high-ownership platform engineering roles, including opportunities outside Toronto.

Backend engineer looking for preferably a Backend Java role (most professional experience), but open to Python and JS/TS as well. Also completely willing to learn e.g., Go on the job. Not necessarily looking for a full stack job at this time.

I have ~5 years experience on Java backend dev (~7 YoE total), primarily working with RESTful microservices on Spring/Spring Boot. During my most recent tenure at , I was a key part in migrating core, revenue-driving services to support a foundational change in the business's strategy (sorry for vagueness - more details in resume). This included owning certain microservices end to end for the purpose of this migration, from designing and writing SDDs to implementation.

At the latter part of my tenure, I was working on migrating microservices from on-prem to AWS, including rewriting services completely in AWS Lambda (Python) or lift-and-shift containerizing of Spring/Spring boot services.

I am extremely motivated and capable of quickly switching tasks when the need arises. I can pick up new projects quickly, and love learning - whether it be a deep dive into a product I'm not familiar with or just learning a new technology in general. I can effectively communicate with fellow team members as well as high-level business stakeholders.

SEEKING CONTRACT WORK - remote, email in profile. Location: West coast, remote only.

I'm a data scientist with more than 15 years experience who has worked with major automakers, shipping companies, and F100 companies, I'm looking for my next project. An ideal fit is a small/medium company with green or brownfield problems that need solving.

I'm skilled at building from 0 to 1, I normally do what is now called data engineer, data scientist, and machine learning engineer as one person. My work usually involves finding non-traditional datasources - Once it was USDA data for rural community demographic enrichment, Several times it was getting hands on with people or equipment. If we work together I'll do what I need to in order to solve the problem.

Technologies/techniques: Machine learning/AI, LLM's, All the tools surrounding ML and AI, A whole host of others.

Contact me if you have a tough challenge I can gnaw on.

Open to both short/long-term contract or a full-time position if the chemistry is there.

I fluctuate between:

- Deep learning / Neural networks - from architecture to inference. You might have used my ♥ Lovely Tensors library if you work with PyTorch (or JAX). CUDA, pytorch profiler, etc.

I am a backend engineer with ten years of experience, recently laid off from Faire, where I spent four years building and running the services behind a free-shipping membership program in Kotlin and gRPC on AWS. Most of my work sits on the platform side of product teams: decomposing monoliths into services, designing data models across relational and NoSQL stores, and building the deployment, routing, and rollback machinery that makes large changes safe to ship under live traffic. I carry production on-call for what I build and run the post-mortems afterwards. Earlier in my career I worked lower in the stack on Android platform and embedded software, initially in security assessment of system services and later on building security enclave applications. I am looking for senior backend or platform engineering roles, remote or anywhere in Canada.
