RINSE | REMOTE or San Francisco, Los Angeles, Chicago, Boston, New York City, New Jersey, Seattle, Austin, Toronto, or Washington DC | Software Engineer | Full-Time | Salary: $80k-$200k USD | https://www.rinse.com

Rinse provides dry cleaning and laundry delivery services to customers in twelve metropolitan areas in the US and Canada. We have sophisticated logistics optimization software, a polished consumer product, and firm business fundamentals. We're now over a decade old - this is a stable, yet consistently growing and innovating, company.

Our engineering team is distributed across the United States and internationally, and has been entirely remote for years now, but a desk can be provided in the above cities if you'd prefer.

We're open to both newly-graduated engineers or more senior engineers, provided they meet our bar. We're particularly interested in true full-stack engineers, with strong React / Typescript / CSS skills to complement comfort in a Python / Django environment. We're also seeking engineers with experience leveraging AI to automate complex operational processes.

This season, we're particularly interested in new grads or junior engineers, to round out the team.

You will join a high-caliber team where collaboration, honesty, and open communication are at the core of everything we do.

Search term bingo: Logistics, Django, Python, Optimization, React, React Native, Postgres, Mobile Engineer, Automation, Delivery, OR-tools, Forecasting

We'd like to add to our growing IT team, managing networks and endpoints across a dozen sites and hundreds of employees. This team is embedded into the engineering organization and is intimately involved in R&D efforts as well as supporting our corporate functions. We're largely cloud-based, with a meaningful MacOS and Linux fleet and a bit of on-premises hardware. We're leaning into an AI-supported IT function; we expect you to be making forward progress, not simply responding to tickets.

Because this role has some physical hardware responsibilities, we'd prefer it be filled by someone in the above localities, even though the vast majority of the role can be performed remotely.

Balerion AI | Software + FDE + AI Engineers | San Francisco, CA | ONSITE | Full-time | $250k+ base + seed equity | Visa sponsorship available | https://balerion.ai

We're building agentic AI for mortgage lending — automating document processing and income qualification for loan originators.

Underwriting a loan means pulling numbers out of a few hundred pages of paystubs, W-2s, bank statements, and tax returns, then applying underwriting guidelines that run to thousands of pages of edge cases. Most of it is still done by hand.

Problems we actually work on: routing scanned pages to OCR vs. text extraction when the text layer is unreliable; extraction pipelines where a wrong number is much worse than a missing one; running long agent workflows durably so a failure three steps in doesn't restart the whole loan; and evaluating multi-step output against guidelines that are themselves ambiguous. We put real effort into eval infrastructure, because "the demo looked good" does not survive contact with a lender's compliance team.

Stack: Python, PydanticAI, Restate for durable execution, Postgres, AWS. Frontier models from OpenAI and Anthropic plus open-source models where they win on cost or latency.

We raised an $8M seed led by Kleiner Perkins and have paying customers in production. Team previously at Snowflake, PayPal, Twitter, Atlassian, and Microsoft.

Comp: $250k+ base, meaningful seed-stage equity, 5% 401(k) match, full health coverage, commuter stipend, gym membership, daily office breakfast & lunch. Full relocation to SF covered.

Onsite in SF. Visa sponsorship: yes.

Email vishal@balerion.ai with "HN" in the subject, plus a resume or GitHub.

Astoria AI | Founding AI Engineer — Agentic Systems | Remote (async) | Full-time | Equity-only pre-seed, $190k-$280k + equity post-seed

Astoria AI is building an agentic runtime for human potential — a suite of specialized AI agents serving candidates and companies across the entire hiring and talent lifecycle: career strategy, networking intelligence, verified matching, compliance-native hiring, onboarding, and retention.

The hiring market is structurally broken: 44% of resumes contain fabrications, ATS filters reject 88% of qualified candidates, and 27% of posted jobs are ghost jobs — while regulation (EU AI Act, Mobley v. Workday, FCRA suits) is forcing enterprises to rethink hiring AI. We're building the fix.

You'll own the intelligence layer: LLM-powered agentic workflows (tool use, structured outputs, multi-step orchestration), RAG/retrieval pipelines, lightweight ML for classification/ranking/entity matching, and evaluation loops for hallucination risk and output quality.

Looking for: 6+ years professional SW engineering (Python/TypeScript/APIs/DBs), hands-on experience with LLM APIs and agentic workflows, and ideally RAG/embeddings/vector DB experience beyond basic chatbots.

Stage: pre-launch, pre-seed, founding team, equity-only until seed round closes (~4-6 months), then competitive salary + refresh grants.

Apply: Konstantin.mueller@astoria.ai with „HN“ in subject, plus resume or GitHub

MONUMENTAL | https://www.monumental.co/ | Amsterdam, The Netherlands | Full Time | Onsite

We make robots that autonomously construct buildings, starting with bricklaying.

There's a lot of vapourware in robotics, but we're deploying robots across multiple concurrent sites today - and generating revenue. In the last couple of months, our robots have built affordable social housing, health care living units, canal walls in the historic city centre of Amsterdam, and a youth sports centre. Help us to build things that matter in the long run.

We're looking for experienced software engineers for many roles. You can help us solve problems like:

- Data sync and analytics queries across a fleet of robots (that can be offline for hours at a time)

- Modelling buildings in code and finding the right UI for operators to edit them

- Designing systems for robots to drive safely and fully autonomously around a building site

Check out the progress we've already made on Atrium, our operating system for robotics: https://www.monumental.co/atrium

We're rapidly scaling up operations - we'll be building in the UK soon - and we need experienced engineers who can build the systems that manage all of that complexity. If you think that 'full-stack' could reasonably mean debugging firmware, mixing buckets of mortar _and_ writing React components, we are looking for you. Robotics experience not required!

Relevant Healthcare | Lead Engineer | Remote (US/Canada only) | Full-time

Relevant builds a data platform that helps safety-net healthcare providers deliver better care using data from their electronic health records. Our customers are non-profit clinics called Community Health Centers. You can read more about them, us, and the role on our jobs page: https://relevant.healthcare/jobs/

We're a small team (~25 overall). We're bootstrapped (no external capital whatsoever, VC or otherwise) and profitable. We've got a modern tech stack (Rails, Typescript, React, GraphQL, d3) and a healthy approach to both tech debt and work/life balance… and we’re also a very nice group of people that get to work on interesting problems for some of the few unimpeachably good actors in healthcare!

Discord | Senior Software Engineer, Application Security | San Francisco, CA | ONSITE | $280K–$330K TC

Discord is where communities and friend groups spend time together, on desktop, mobile, and now more and more inside games and third-party apps built on our platform. That surface area, plus a huge, engaged, occasionally adversarial user base, makes application security a genuinely hard and interesting problem here.

We're hiring a Senior Application Security Engineer to join the Product Security team. Responsibilities include threat modeling and secure design review with product and platform teams, building and improving AppSec tooling (SAST/DAST/dependency scanning), and working directly with engineering teams to remediate findings.

Stack: Python primarily, some TypeScript/React, some Rust, occasional JavaScript. Runs on GCP.

Looking for: hands-on AppSec experience (not just compliance-flavored security), comfort reading and reviewing code across languages, and sound judgment on prioritizing real risk over checklist security.

Interview process: recruiter call, coding round, HM interview, virtual onsite, decision.
