Earlier quoted context omitted.

I doubt it’s compute, Anthropic just bought a huge amount of capacity from xAI. I mean SpaceX. No, I mean SpaceXAI. They’re trying to stop bleeding cash.

That data center was setup wrongly, is broken and unusable for training. Its amazing Musk manages to fool even Anthropic.

Amazing that Anthropic is using this "broken and unusable" data center successfully, pushing new models and providing sufficient inference that we no longer have the absurd limits from the weeks leading up to them making that deal.

Interesting wording: [...] that will make it feel like you’re getting more from Claude

Well, to be fair, you cut the 6 important words that show the context: > We’re working on exciting changes that will make it feel like you’re getting more from Claude On the other hand, I think the biggest improvement they could do is allow using Claude Code subscriptions from third party harnesses with no strings attached.

What strings are attached? I thought they reverted the API usage changes

What is going on? Why are everyone except OpenAI short on compute? Even Chinese ultra cheap providers are slowly reducing token plans or increasing prices.

It’s not clear how much each token costs and how much it’s being subsidized. It was never meant to last, at some point the music was going to stop and you have to pay full price.

api pricing has 80+% margin.

Meanwhile OpenAI resets everyone's weekly Codex limits back to 100% seemingly every other day as a kind of game.

Yesterday was a funny one, they announced in advance that a reset would happen at 6PM PST and encouraged everyone to burn through as much usage as they could.
