I believe everything you say. I hope you didn't feel attacked. It is just a feeling I often get when I'm online. Some people seem to spend more time on form than actual content, and while I agree that how things look is a part of the expression, I am somewhat of a brutalist because I feel that it rarely matters much, and most of the time it is a distraction.

but again, I am an old fart who is sad gopher lost.

Erik Spiekermann is a genius. He made Fira Sans to be a total antithesis to Helvetica. Now, I like Helvetica, but I also love the pure character of Fira Sans and it’s my go-to sans serif. I was excited about trying that in slack but got: > /slackfont is not a valid command. In Slack, messages that start with “/” are interpreted as commands.

nebula is nice, and a lot of its founding creators are on my sub list.

however, a lot of creators in it had direct ownership. i wonder how it works for those who joined later on and may not share the same.

one of the creators used to be super-active, however now switched the style of videos (completely fine and up to the creator), but now it has gone to radio silence for a better part of a year.

maybe the current creator economy is so bad that once you can get a gig like nebula, it pays you enough to stop the treadmill of churning out content.
