Exactly. And also a way to opt-out of the comment section. It's hard for me to resist looking at the comments, and sometimes commenting.

I find myself, including this thread, reading comments like snacking on junk instead of even opening the actual article. Dodging the long form content that might not be so easy to digest for the familiar site and short form comments isn’t a habit I’m proud of

I can’t wait for the equal coal reckoning. What is it 20k direct deaths a year? 2 million early deaths? The Great Barrier Reef 100% dead after this El Niño. A deliberate cover up of the science?

In a top 10 harmful corporation list meta wouldn’t make my cut.

As someone who doesn't use social media please explain. Is it not possible for people to just delete the apps and stop using them? Is the addiction so strong at this point that people don't have the willpower to stop?

Needs a 0 added, $160B feels fair. Mesothelioma was $35B in 90s money, so about 3x that today.

Companies keep getting away with this "cost of doing business" fines, the justice department keeps failing at its duties.

The fines either need to wipe out these companies to the point the share holders hold the leadership accountable or nothing will change.
