I don't understand why people keep insisting Pangram is so accurate. It's easy to check by throwing it against some old college essays or newspaper column. It might get it right most of the time but false positives abound.
That said, if I had to place a bet, I'd bet that the author is right that the Messi essay is at least partially AI-generated.
