Hey Dang when can we start (secretly) following our favourite users on HN

Why though? You want a bubble here?

Because some people make more interesting and thoughtful comments that I would like to reread. Some share interests.

I don’t understand this comment. Firstly you’re looking at one person’s selection, not some authoritative list of the best comments, so it mostly reflects what that person is interested in. I don’t really understand the rest of your comment but for example I get to be in lots of interesting technical discussions at work, I’m happy, and reasonably well paid. I don’t think that’s a particularly unusual situation to be…

I don't understand this comment either, what are you adding here? Just saying your happy and well paid..good for you?

What you write implies that you think that good programming jobs of the kind available in 2014 are no longer available. I basically think that’s wrong (indeed I think the opposite trend happened) for most HN readers who are able to live and work in US cities, or a few other western cities where such jobs tend to exist. I think it’s generally undesirable to believe false things but believing this particular false thing can be extremely bad if it causes one to not pursue good opportunities. Obviously everyone’s circumstances are different and while I try to add caveats there are inevitably exceptions, but I don’t think they warrant the use of the vaguely broad set of ‘people’ referred to above.
