Oh wow. Wasn’t aware about DHHs opinions. Not thank I cared too much, but it kind of shows you why you should never look up to these people.
Keep in mind that this is a blog post by someone who obviously doesn't like dhh very much, going so far as to prime everyone into reading exactly what he wants them to read instead of just linking to his posts. Basically every sentence just reeks of disgust for someone having a different opinion. I would never publish something like this on community infrastructure that I'm contributing to. Shameful.
I don't really get that impression. A lot of DHH's blogposts are simply delusion, and have no bearing on reality whatsoever. Posts like his Calling someone a "nazi" is a permission slip for violence is simply untrue no matter who you are or where you live. Discrediting that type of opinion doesn't require you to disagree at all, just to point out local laws to people.
There are likely places where the OP and DHH disagree on matters of pure opinion. But calling his essays "the worst possible takes" is pretty close to objectively true when he's calling for violent witch hunts against the people who disagree with him. He's the one that needs to apologize, there's nothing wrong with drawing the line at violent threats on behalf of your community.

Cool! I used Larbs.xyz for a while. I love a good dotfiles repo. I guess I think there's a lot more in Omarchy than a dotfiles repo, I was very impressed with the demo video. Even just creating the menu and updating system is non-trivial. Mirroring the entire distro through Cloudflare seems significant also. I've not seen those in another dotfiles project.
Yep, I also handle updates, some menus and generally everything to 1 shot a full system and keep it healthy. There's a 90 minute demo video. Not a lot of interest in rolling my own ISO though, I think running the arch install script directly or CachyOS if you want to use that instead is a feature. It lets you do basic things like easily create multiple users on your system, choose encryption or not, pick ext4 instead of btrfs, dual booting and other things at your discretion.
Or you could sit back and run through the installer in 5 minutes by following the guide without any background knowledge and get a working result.

"what the malleable computer of the future looks like" ??? Excuse me? This is just a linux shell script repository. What is the point of having $8m to maintain a shell script?
If it's a cheap, why hasn't someone else done this at this consistency? Where are the other distros easily applying a theme to basically everything on your system for example? It ships a custom theme builder Aether, Quickshell to build desktop ui elements, a new launcher and its own cli.
