My challenge to the author would be to address the much more serious criticisms of Windows that have been frustrating real users and have been left unresolved. That said, Microsoft was even more of a danger to the industry in 2003, and it was far more of a monopolist. Here he was basically downplaying government scrutiny of Microsoft at the height of their antitrust allegations. I could have made my point more compelling had I realized this came out in 2003.
